Position Summary

Chrysalis is a company that provides a variety of support services for at-risk adults and/or juveniles with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role requires the ability to work in stress-filled and safety-sensitive environments, follow approved programs, make crucial decisions regarding the care of at-risk individuals, and communicate effectively. The purpose is to help individuals gain greater independence by applying Chrysalis values:

• Punctuality and consistent attendance at the worksite.
• Stay awake, responsive, and communicate effectively with individuals.
• Teach daily living skills to individuals.
• Plan appropriate activities for individuals.
• Create opportunities for people to increase quality of life.
• Provide a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
• Implement Person‑Centered Support Plans and follow behavioral plans.
• Supervise individuals according to guidance and support their choices.
• Assist and supervise individuals with medication.
• Complete administrative tasks within established time frames.
• Complete all required documentation for Chrysalis and the state.
• Maintain communication with the manager regarding individual needs.
• Follow Provider Code of Conduct / Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation Policy according to state standards.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Pass a criminal background check and LEIE per state regulations.
• Pass controlled substance tests.
• Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.

• Excellent public relations skills with families.
• Effective communication with medical, professional, and state employees.
• Good judgment and ability to handle crisis situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and maintain professionalism under pressure.
