Position: Driver Helper I
Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking a Driver Helper I to join their team. As a Driver Helper I, you will be part of the delivery support team, assisting drivers in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to various customer locations such as restaurants, schools, and hospitals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service, which will align successfully in the organization.

** Pay Range:**  $19

** Shift:
** Monday - Saturday, starting as early as 4 am, with Sundays off

** What's the Job?*
* + Assist drivers with unloading products from trailers and moving them to customer delivery areas using hand trucks, dollies, or other equipment.

+ Verify delivery accuracy with customers by checking orders, rotating products, and inspecting product quality.

+ Provide professional customer service, addressing delivery concerns or escalating issues as needed.

+ Secure products in the truck to minimize damage during transport.

+ Follow safety procedures, support pre-trip inspections, and ensure safe delivery practices.

** What's Needed?*
* + Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 90 pounds.

+ Ability to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and climb in and out of delivery trucks throughout the workday.

+ Basic math skills for counting inventory and completing delivery documentation accurately.

+ Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.

+ Experience using two-wheel dollies or electric pallet jacks is preferred.
