Freight Breakers is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands‑on Warehouse Lead to join our growing operations team. As a Warehouse Lead, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, lead a team of 15–30 associates, coordinate trailer flow, and work alongside Supervisors to ensure operational success. This is a working leadership role—not a desk position. You’ll spend your shift on the warehouse floor coaching employees, solving problems, and keeping operations moving efficiently.
What You’ll Do Operational Leadership- Lead and motivate a team of 15–30 warehouse associates.
- Coordinate unloading, loading, pallet breakdown, staging, and overall warehouse operations.
- Assign work based on operational priorities and labor needs.
- Maintain steady workflow throughout the shift.
- Identify bottlenecks and adjust staffing to maximize productivity.
- Support Supervisors with real‑time operational updates and labor planning.
- Rotate between work areas as business demands change.
- Monitor employee productivity and workflow throughout the shift.
- Coach associates to improve quality, safety, and Cases Per Hour (CPH).
- Track trailer progress and production goals.
- Report staffing levels, completed work, and operational concerns.
- Assist in achieving daily customer and company performance goals.
- Enforce all warehouse safety procedures.
- Promote proper lifting techniques and safe unloading practices.
- Ensure safe operation of pallet jacks and dock equipment.
- Immediately address unsafe behaviours or hazardous conditions.
- Conduct daily housekeeping to maintain a clean, organised work environment.
- Clearly communicate expectations and production goals to team members.
- Maintain professional communication with Supervisors and Site Management.
- Escalate operational concerns through the proper chain of command.
- Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
- Previous warehouse leadership experience preferred.
- Experience leading teams in a fast‑paced warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and productivity metrics.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a rapidly changing environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and work throughout a 12‑hour shift.
- Must be authorised to work in the United States.
- Warehouse Lead, Team Lead, Shift Lead, Supervisor, or equivalent leadership experience.
- Loading and unloading trailers.
- Distribution centre, logistics, freight handling, or fulfilment operations.
- Knowledge of productivity metrics such as Cases Per Hour (CPH).
- Experience maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Permanent full‑time position.
- Three‑day work week with 12‑hour shifts.
