The College of Science is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Graduate Program Coordinator to support graduate education initiatives and departmental operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic academic environment, building relationships with students, faculty, and staff, and helping programs run efficiently and effectively. As the Graduate Program Coordinator, you will provide high-level administrative and program support while serving as a key resource for graduate students, faculty, and departmental leadership.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate graduate program activities, events, and communications.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, and external partners, resolving complex inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Conduct research and gather information to support departmental initiatives and decision-making.
- Monitor program budgets, maintain records, and assist with financial and administrative processes.
- Support special projects and program initiatives, often working independently and exercising sound judgment.
- Provide guidance and functional oversight for administrative support activities and contribute to process improvements.

What We're Looking ForEducation and Experience
Required:
- Requires a High School Degree or High School Equivalency (HSE)
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in an administrative support role
Skills Required:
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to:
- handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- collaborate and communicate with individuals at all levels within and external to the university to support department needs
- interpret policies and procedures to proactively resolve issues or improve processes
- identify problems and implement or recommend solutions
- lead others and provide direction and constructive feedback
- Advanced computer and related software skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.
- Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
- Drafting, proofreading and editing skills
