PAY RATE: Starting at $16 / hr., with potential for increases based on experience

SCHEDULE: Full-time; 7 hrs. / day; 186 paid days / year;
Follows school calendar

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides instructional support to individual students or small groups under the direction of a supervising teacher
- Collaborates with teachers and staff to enhance students' educational experience
- Implements students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Training, and Experience
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Minimum Education Requirement (one of the following):
- Completion of at least two years (60 course credits) of college-level coursework
- An associate degree or higher
- A passing score on the Para Pro Assessment
- Prior experience in schools or child care
- Previous experience working with individuals with special needs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, parents, and other professionals
- Excellent dependability and punctuality
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Works indoors in a school environment
- May work in close proximity to students and staff
- Occasionally exposed to noise levels typical in school settings
