Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for Piano. We do not have a brick-and-mortar studio location in the West Lafayette, IN area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP. Lessons can occur in the students' homes; in your own home or your own studio/rehearsal space; or via webcam. Most students still prefer in-person lessons, so we need local instructors who can host students and/or travel to students in the West Lafayette, IN area.
Responsibilities- Provide private music lessons (primarily piano) to students in their homes, your home/studio, or via webcam as needed.
- Maintain professional communication with the office and students; arrive on time for all lessons.
- Develop and implement own curriculum and lesson plans; manage scheduling locally.
- Travel to students as required and manage travel time within compensation.
- Help light an engaging and accessible music-learning environment aligned with the company philosophy: "Learn to Play From the Heart".
- Formal music training is not mandatory, but one of the following is required: a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience.
- Independent contractor basis; rate between $20-$30 per hour, dependent on travel time, experience/education, and student retention.
- Freedom to set your own schedule and your own curriculum/lesson plans.
- Marketing, advertising, SEO, and billing handled by the company to bring in students and reduce administrative load.
