Job Summary
Counsel and support prospective first-year and transfer students throughout the college search and selection process, with a primary focus on admission recruitment and outreach to students and families outside the state of Indiana, as well as comprehensive application review. This role may also take on program coordination, strategic initiatives, and other special projects as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide counsel to prospective first-year and transfer students on the admission process.
- Review admission applications, evaluate contextual information within each file, and make timely, well-reasoned decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, families, high school counselors, community-based organizations, and campus partners.
- Participate in in-person and virtual presentations, ranging from one-on-one conversations to large-group events of up to 1,000 attendees.
- Support strategic initiatives, program coordination, and other special projects as the role evolves.
- Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in customer service, or equivalent experience in K-12 or higher education admissions, counseling, or advising.
- Experience using the Slate CRM is helpful.
- Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evening and weekend hours.
- Valid driver’s license required.
All positions include travel as well as evening and weekend work. All positions require a background check.
SalaryExpected annual salary for this position is approximately $50,000 per annum.
