• Maintain consistent communication with assigned students.
• Use data to monitor academic progress and conduct degree audits to ensure timely completion of requirements.
• Identify when students need additional support and refer them to appropriate campus resources, while maintaining confidentiality of student records.
• Educate students about university structures, policies, and practices to help them navigate their academic experience.
• Provide holistic, asset-based advising that supports student success, persistence, and belonging within the university community.

• Must have an earned graduate or professional degree in a field relevant to the position.
• Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, current and prospective students, parents, and families.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to problem solve and utilize campus resources for individuals and groups.
• Ability and willingness to work in a changing environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of undergraduate student development and recruitment.
• Knowledge of programs and majors at Purdue University.
• Knowledge of fields related to advised majors.
