Lewis Cass Special Education Program
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Lewis Cass special education program. Ability to work under the direction of both special education teacher and general education teachers. Participate in in-service training. Provide small group and/or individual instruction as planned by the teacher. Work with students with varying abilities and special education needs. Follow work schedules as designed by the teacher.
Ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff. Knowledge of content in assigned areas. Understanding and implementation of confidentiality. Assisting related services such as: occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech/language therapy. Performing any other duties assigned by the special education teacher. High school diploma. 60 hours of college credit or paraprofessional certification preferred. Completion of Indiana and Federal background check requirements.
