The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with the orders from the physician, through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to restore loss of muscle strength, coordination, body alignment, to relieve pain, improve movement and function. The Physical Therapist will work as a member of a team providing support and information within the area of Physical Therapy.
The Physical Therapist will provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care.
- Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Physical Therapy
- Current state license/certification
- Current registration with the American Physical Therapy Certification Board
- Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation
- Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care
- Demonstrate competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in specific therapy discipline
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
Therapy Coordinator
-acts as primary liaison between facility interdisciplinary team and therapy department. Main point of contact for communication, representing the therapy department at facility meetings and care conferences. Also responsible for managing patient/therapist schedules in keeping with patient treatment needs and in coordination with the primary therapy staff and MDS staff.
