IT Support Engineer, Associate

Job Summary

Associate IT Support Engineer – Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. Purdue University is seeking an entry-level professional contributor to support technology environments that enable teaching, learning, and research. Under immediate supervision, you will help develop, install, coordinate, and maintain enterprise-level Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, software, and system management tools, ensuring reliable and secure computing environments aligned with Purdue’s instructional mission.

• Bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of six (6) months of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
  Windows, MacOS, or Linux systems administration; hardware maintenance of advanced computer, peripherals, and networking systems
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

• Purdue IT experience a bonus

• Knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, or Linux (familiarity with the rest is desired)
• Familiarity with software redistribution techniques (e.g., SCCM/CM, Puppet) desired
• Ability to work with a wide variety of computer hardware, software, operating systems, peripherals, faculty, staff, and students across instruction, administration, and research; troubleshoot diverse environments
