Overview
The primary purpose of the Senior Maintenance Technician position is to perform general repairs, preventive maintenance and installs of facility equipment.
Responsibilities- Oversee, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair facility equipment ensuring a safe and productive work environment
- Disassemble mechanical equipment, repair or replace worn or broken parts, and adjust parts of mechanical devices as needed. Inspect completed repairs
- Plan, prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work in alignment with organizational goals
- Develop, implement and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Maintain continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and shop organization
- Manage procurement of parts and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely availability
- Ability to work after hours and weekends as required
- Responsible for moving equipment and office furniture
- Support facility operations and special projects, including seasonal requests
- Represent the Facilities function professionally in cross functional meetings, collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards, fostering a culture of accountability and hazard prevention
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
- May be required to assist with special projects, facility support, or other tasks outside of regular maintenance duties as business needs dictate
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance preferred
- Basic computer entry/retrieval skills required
- HVAC certificate or licensed electrician preferred
- Experience using a CMMS to handle work orders and PM checklist preferred
- Ability to read and interpret machine manuals/schematics, electrical blueprints/schematics and process control diagrams
- Experience troubleshooting of PLC and other control systems in an industrial environment
- Experience working independently and with minimal supervision
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk, bend, turn and lift/push/pull up to 80 pounds on a consistent basis
- Capable of standing on feet for a minimum of 6 hours per day, kneeling and climbing 10' ladders
- Print legibly on all paperwork
- Personal protective equipment may be required
