Job Title:
Shipping / Material Handler
Industry: Trailer Manufacturer & Metal Fabrication
Job Summary:
Performs a variety of shipping tasks:
Verifies materials being shipped are as ordered and packiaging material. Prepare items for shipment ensuring cost effectiveness.
- Package and label product per standard or customer requirements
- Receive, unload, and identify incoming materials, transfer to appropriate stocking area, notify manufacturing manager or other needed personnel of receipt of materials
- Operate fork truck as needed
- Coordinate and manage stock program
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
- Have a minimum of 1 year of shipping and receiving experience
- Have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes
- Communicate effectively with production staff and management
- Have a basic understanding of OSHA safety requirements
- Understand and interpret blueprints
- Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while completing them in a timely fashion
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to become certified through Viper Trailers and pass testing.
