Job Description & How to Apply Below

This is a bench-heavy position designed for a scientist who thrives in the "wet lab." You will bridge the gap between complex experimental design and precise execution, contributing directly to genomic research as part of FDA PMA approval.

Location: West Lafayette, IN (On-site)

Environment: Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory handling human blood, serum and other biospecimens requiring use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Employment Type: Full-Time (6–9 Month Contract with Benefits)

Key Responsibilities
  • Experiment Execution: Work with a team to contribute to study design and execute complex molecular biology experiments at the bench.
  • NGS Workflow: Execute all aspects of experiments, including library preparation and sequencing protocols.
  • Data Insight: Participate in analysis of experimental results to iterate on protocols and provide actionable insights for broader research goals.
  • Compliance: Maintain rigorous documentation standards to meet internal and regulatory (FDA/GLP) requirements around data integrity.
  • Communication: Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and present findings clearly.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize work and manage time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • NGS Expertise: Track record of high-quality research with a background in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and DNA Methylation.
  • Bench Strength: A passion for "wet lab" work and technical precision.
Preferred "Plus" Skills
  • Post-Doctoral research experience in oncology or biomarker discovery.
  • Familiarity with FDA protocols, GLP, or CLIA environments.

This isn't just a research role; it’s an opportunity to apply specialized expertise to a high-priority industry project with real-world clinical implications. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where technical mastery is the top priority.
