• Assists in the preparation, serving, and selling of foods inside a school cafeteria
• Assists in the cleaning of the kitchen and snack bar areas
• Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of utensils and equipment
• May also assist receiving cash or tickets and maintaining simple records
• Attends all mandatory training
• Maintains proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Willing to perform all duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager which may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Cashiering
  • Serving
  • Preparing Food
  • Washing Dishes
  • Cleaning

• Education, Training, and Experience
  
  Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Experience in a Food Service environment (Schools preferred)
  • Serv Safe Certification preferred
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
  • Displays positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to work as a team with other staff
  • Displays dependability and punctuality
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and stand on feet for long periods of time

• Position works indoors in a typical school cafeteria/kitchen area
• May work near others, often within a few feet
• Often will be exposed to noisy and distracting environments
• Often will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures
• Occasionally will work near contaminants and hazardous equipment
