Plumber
Provide professional plumbing construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting services within complex commercial and industrial facilities. This role supports building infrastructure systems that distribute air, gas, water, and other utilities through advanced mechanical and monitoring systems. You will work in highly regulated environments where specialized training, strict safety practices, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot plumbing systems for heating, gas, air, water, and drainage.
- Inspect and evaluate existing plumbing systems to identify issues, recommend solutions, and ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Supervise and oversee the fabrication of piping using materials such as galvanized steel, copper, stainless steel, glass, cast iron, ductile iron, clay, concrete, and aluminum.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to plan and execute plumbing construction and connections accurately.
- Perform necessary calculations to support the design, sizing, and installation of plumbing systems and related components.
- Develop clear and accurate schematics and documentation for completed projects to support ongoing maintenance and future modifications.
- Instruct, coordinate, and support tasks performed by other trades personnel, providing guidance to ensure work quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Perform plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance work throughout assigned facilities as needed.
- Comply with all required training, safety procedures, and worksite protocols.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safety guidelines when working in areas with electrical hazards, extreme temperatures, confined spaces, or at heights.
- Operate tools, equipment, and computer-based systems, including word processing and spreadsheet applications, to document work, track projects, and communicate effectively.
- At least 4 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex plumbing systems.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems for heating, gas, air, water, and drainage, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in these applications.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to plumbing construction and system connections.
- Demonstrated experience with piping systems and fabrication using materials such as galvanized pipe, stainless pipe, cast iron, copper, and other specialized materials.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to support system sizing, layout, and installation work.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of one or more skilled trades related to building systems and maintenance.
- Computer skills and familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software to document work, prepare reports, and manage information.
- Valid driver's license.
- Physical ability to lift and carry 50 to 80 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds or more occasionally.
- Ability to work safely in environments that may include electrical hazards, extreme cold and heat, confined spaces, and working from heights.
- Ability to complete required safety and operational training.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of the practices and procedures required to work safely and effectively in highly regulated environments.
- Ability to interpret technical material related to plumbing systems and building infrastructure.
- General knowledge of one or more additional skilled trades that support facility operations and maintenance.
- Ability to complete supervisory training and coordinate work performed by other trades personnel.
- Experience developing schematics and documentation for completed plumbing projects.
- Familiarity with construction, maintenance, and facility operations environments.
- Comfort using computer-based tools, including word processors and spreadsheets, for communication, recordkeeping, and project tracking.
