• Responsible for the general supervision and safety of patrons of the aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies

• Knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate skills in an aquatic environment
• Ability to work independently and possess energy and enthusiasm
• All current Red Cross Certifications for lifeguarding

• Represent WL Jr./Sr.High School by maintaining a professional attitude.
• Maintain the safety of participants in and around the pool
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled
• Communicate effectively with other lifeguards on duty and act as a team in an emergency
• Deliver excellent customer service to all that utilize the facility and serve our diverse population
• Handle all incidents in a manner appropriate to your training. First Aid is to be handled by the Facility Supervisor

• Acceptable results of an expanded criminal history background check done at the cost of the applicant
• Certifications listed above
• Three professional references
• May be required to obtain a work permit prior to starting work

• Starting at $12.68 / hr.
• Not eligible for benefits
