Bus Mechanic

The Bus Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of all district buses and transportation vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This position performs preventative maintenance, completes required state inspections, maintains service records, and responds to mechanical issues as needed. The Bus Mechanic works closely with the Transportation Department to support daily operations and may be required to drive a school bus when necessary or as directed by the Superintendent.

The position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of the district’s transportation fleet.

Applicants must possess or be willing to obtain and maintain a valid School Bus CDL and required endorsements.
