Location:

North Austin, Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Surrounding Areas.

Shift types:
Full-time, Part-time, PRN. Days, nights, and weekend shifts – availability determines scheduling.

Qualifications
  • Maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state of practice.
  • Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days.
  • Current CPR certification (hands‑on component). Aveanna may assist after hire if necessary.
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months).
  • Six months of hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required.
  • Reliable transportation.
Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physicians’ orders for each patient while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.

Essential Job Functions
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs and report changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner whenever care is delivered.
  • Participate, implement, and update the nursing care plan.
  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent or reduce risk.
  • Take responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Provide care using infection control measures that protect staff and patient according to OSHA standards.
  • Educate patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques, and prevention strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies by participating in educational programs, continuing education units, internal learning management skills and skill evaluations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
Additional State – Specific Requirements
  • South Carolina – one year of pediatrics experience.
  • California – one year of experience required working under current nursing license.
  • Louisiana – one year of experience required working as a licensed nurse.
  • Continuing Education as required by state.
Preferences
  • Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.

  • Must be able to function in a variety of environments involving exposure to allergens and other conditions.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
