• Serve as the primary client contact across tax, audit, and assurance engagements
• Review complex tax returns including corporate, partnership, trust, estate, and LLC filings
• Provide technical expertise in tax law, compliance, and planning strategies
• Utilize Ultra Tax (or similar) to review and manage tax engagements at a high level
• Lead assurance and accounting engagements, applying GAAP and governmental (GASB) standards
• Oversee client accounting functions and take ownership of ongoing books and financial reporting
• Review work prepared by senior and staff accountants, ensuring accuracy and quality control
• Supervise and mentor team members, supporting development and performance
• Act as a front-line leader in managing and growing the firm’s book of business
• Partner with leadership to improve processes and support practice growth

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required;
  Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• Active CPA license required
• 7+ years of progressive public accounting experience in both tax and assurance services
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing staff, client engagements, and project workflows
• Demonstrated success managing complex engagements for a variety of entity types, including S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates
• Public accounting firm experience strongly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of tax compliance, tax planning, and applicable tax laws and regulations
• Extensive experience reviewing and overseeing complex tax returns across multiple entity structures
• Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and governmental accounting standards (GASB/GAGAS)
• Proficiency with leading tax and audit software platforms such as Ultra Tax, CCH Axcess, ONESOURCE, or similar technologies
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with a strong emphasis on Excel
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking abilities
• Ability to communicate complex accounting and tax concepts clearly to clients and team members
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities effectively
• Strong client relationship management and advisory experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional service
• Experience coaching, developing, and evaluating team performance while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction
