What You’ll Do

As a Senior Accountant, you will take the lead on business accounting engagements, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all work products. You will serve as a trusted technical resource for the team, applying your advanced accounting and tax knowledge to resolve challenges, guide decision‑making, and uphold firm standards. You will also play a key role in strengthening internal processes, enhancing workflow efficiency, and contributing to leadership initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the firm.

• Perform and oversee client accounting matters, month‑end and year‑end close processes, payroll and other business reporting areas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness and compliance.
• Support the preparation of individual and business tax returns across a variety of entity types.
• Lead GAAP and tax research on issues and apply findings to client‑specific situations.
• Serve as a trusted accounting advisor for business clients, acting as a primary point of contact for questions and issues.
• Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements that benefit client operations and financial outcomes.
• Communicate accounting and tax matters in a clear, professional, and client‑friendly manner.
  
  Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen team skills and capabilities.
• Ensure the team’s adherence to firm standards, policies, and deadlines.
• Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members to support smooth integration into the firm.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to developing documentation, standardized procedures, and best practices.
• Support leadership on special projects and firm‑wide initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
• CPA Preferred
• Strong, up‑to‑date technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software, along with the ability to learn new platforms quickly
