Are you highly organized and passionate about supporting ministry behind the scenes? Do you enjoy coordinating schedules, managing details, and helping create a smooth and welcoming environment for families, volunteers, and staff? We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Kids Ministry team.

Required Experience & Knowledge

  • Fulfill the character qualifications of adeacon as taught in scripture
  • Excellent writing, editing, grammar, and verbal communication skills
  • Be self-directed, able to lead others, and manage projects
  • Schedule and task-focused; able to prioritize and complete duties using tracking software, lists, etc.
  • Quick learner, self-initiator, hardworking, well-organized, adaptable, and healthy assertiveness
  • Strong organizational and proficient multitasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and deliver results under tight deadlines
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed
  • Engage as part of ateam with Athey Creek staff, always being edifying to one another
  • Provide Athey Kids Director, Manager and Volunteer Coordinator with daily administrative support
  • Responsible for managing multiple tasks, ensuring they are delivered on time and with excellence
  • Collaborate with team members as necessary to ensure the successful outcome oftasks
  • Prepare for meetings, take meeting minutes as needed and create presentations and spreadsheets
  • Perform research and project management for avariety of strategic projects
  • Assist with purchasing, expense/budget tracking and reimbursements
  • Assist with the department’s calendar, email, phone line and administrative needs, including managing the appointments and scheduling meetings
  • Manage and create coordinator and ministry assistant service schedules
  • Maintain the volunteer connections ensuring that new volunteers are onboarded quickly and efficiently assisting the volunteer coordinator
  • Assist with the creation, editing, printing, and distribution of curriculum, crafts and publications
  • Assist with organizing Athey Kids events and services, as needed
  • Assist with managing the Athey Kids social media and multimedia presentations
  • Help purchase and sort equipment and supplies for multi-site campuses, as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
Schedule

Tuesday-Saturday, including some weekends and evenings.
