Champion your future with Tarkett Sports! We are seeking an experienced Estimator to manage our complex and dynamic projects and grow with the company.
The position is based in our West Linn, Oregon office and the Estimator will be reporting to the President at Benchmark Construction.
What You’ll Do- Aid in the Design process, establish preliminary budgets and conduct construction document review.
- Analyze blueprints and other project documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoff and build bid estimates.
- Adjust estimates when there are changes in the scope of the project.
- Review and advise on project specifications.
- Evaluate subcontractor and material proposals for completeness of scope.
- Perform site visits to evaluate existing conditions and proposed scope of work.
- Attend pre‑bid and pre‑construction meetings.
- Prepare thorough documentation files for hand‑off to the Operations department for implementation of projects.
Education Desired
- 3+ years as an Estimator or related bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of sitework experience.
- Demonstrates expertise in evaluating and estimating projects, integrating schedules, and engaging with key stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of various contract types, including hard‑bid/lump‑sum, cost‑plus, and guaranteed‑maximum price (GMP).
- Highly proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents (Bluebeam Revu).
- Intermediate to expert‑level proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and cost estimating software.
- Familiarity with bid distribution platforms such as Procore (preferred).
- Experience in vertical building estimation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Experience in athletic projects is a plus.
