For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.

Position Overview

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Lake Oswego, OR on a part-time basis year round. This unique position will involve working in a residential eating disorder facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
  • Provide individualized assistance to students.
  • Regularly communicate about student progress as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.

Class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Schedule & Commitment

Year round, 20 hours a week commitment, Monday Friday, 8am-12pm or 7:30am-11:30am depending on candidate preference.

Qualifications
  • B.A/ B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active Oregon teaching license.
  • Comfortable working with 7th to 12th grade students.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
  • Reliable transportation.
