Job DescriptionThe start date for this position is September 4th, 2026 until November 10th, 2026. This is a substitute position through Edu Staff.
Position DescriptionThe school counselor works directly with students, strategizes with teams so students are academically and socially successful, plans with the school leadership team for staff development, and communicates with parents. The counselor will collaborate with staff to implement academic and social support systems that engage and ensure success for all students; focus on counseling that is integrated with learning and character education that promotes a growth mindset and academic progress.
Responsibilities- Work directly with students to support academic and social success.

- Implement academic and social support systems integrated with learning.
- Promote character education and a growth mindset.
- Knowledge of best practices in counseling.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Oregon license in assigned area(s) and proper endorsements.
- Demonstrates personal and academic excellence.
- Provides a personalized education to improve student performance.
- Establishes community partnerships and expands the classroom beyond the school.
- Creates a circle of support for each student.
- Educates the whole person—intellectually, emotionally, physically, and ethically.
- Integrates technology in daily living.
The West Linn-Wilsonville School District is nestled within two thriving cities, West Linn and Wilsonville, within the rural area of Clackamas County. Both communities have a strong legacy of support for their schools, music and arts endeavors, and the overall well‑being of their patrons. The school district and surrounding communities have experienced steady, constant growth over the past three decades. The estimated student population of the District as of December 2025 is 8,600.
