Position: Client Relationship Consultant 2 (Banker) - West Linn, OR

Client Relationship Consultant

U.S. Bank is hiring a Client Relationship Consultant to engage customers across multiple channels, provide financial guidance, and promote our deposit and loan products.

Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with customers via in‑person, by appointment, and virtual interactions.
  • Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs and obtain and process customer and account information.
  • Educate clients on deposit, loan, and other banking products and services.
  • Recommend solutions that align with each customer’s goals and needs.
  • Proactively reach out to clients and follow up, asking questions to learn about their financial needs and channel preferences.
  • Identify solutions for new and existing clients and engage them effectively through communication.
  • Maintain current knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital offerings.
  • Provide a consistent, optimal client experience by greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members to best serve clients.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
  • Educate clients on emerging and self‑service digital products to meet their financial needs.
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and deliver operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three to four years of job‑related retail banking experience, or a combination of experience and training.
  • Proven ability to build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow‑up.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage clients effectively.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies.
  • Ability to identify and explore a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset.
  • Basic proficiency in recommending solutions that meet customer needs both reactively and proactively.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish encouraged.
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z is required; subject to background and credit checks.
Location Expectations

Job requires working from a U.S. Bank location five (5) days per week.

Compensation

Pay Range: $21.68 – $26.50 per hour.
