** POSITION SUMMARY
** The Lead Housekeeper oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, ensuring all cleaning tasks meet the community standards for safety, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction.
** RESPONSIBILITIES
* * Include but are not limited to the following:
* Assist in overseeing the daily work of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Provides cleaning services such as cleaning, sanitizing, laundry and organization of rooms and common areas.
* Assist in training new hires and provide ongoing training for existing staff to ensure compliance with cleaning standards and techniques.
* Motivate housekeeping staff ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
* Monitor tasks to ensure that all areas of the community meet hygiene and safety standards.
* Lead special cleaning projects and oversee thorough cleaning of high-use areas to maintain optimal sanitation.
* Relay team feedback and operational challenges to the housekeeping manager to help refine practices and improve efficiency.

* Education & Experience:

**  + Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.  + Previous housekeeping experience in a similar or hospitality environment.  + Experience leading teams preferred.
* ** Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**  + Ability to lead and motivate teams.  + Familiarity with various cleaning agents and tools, and their appropriate use.  + Familiarity with SDS (Safety Data Sheet).  + Understanding of health standards and protocols to maintain a sanitary environment.  + Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures, especially regarding the handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.  + Ability to notice and address small issues before they escalate, ensuring rooms and facilities are thoroughly cleaned.  

+ Skills to efficiently manage cleaning schedules while being flexible to respond to immediate needs.  + Ability to adapt to different tasks and needs of residents.  + Capable of interacting positively with residents, understanding, and respecting their needs for privacy and comfort.  + Ability to identify and resolve issues related to cleanliness or maintenance without extensive supervision.
