Compensation & SchedulePay Rate: $60/hr (Local) | $52/hr (Non-Local)
Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Day Shift 6-7 Days a week (60-70 Hours)
Why This Opportunity?Join a structural steel contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Manassas, VA. This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety activities involving steel erection, bridging operations, crane-assisted material handling, ironworker activities, elevated work, and daily construction operations within a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with structural steel experience who enjoys being highly visible in the field and actively supporting crews through coaching, hazard recognition, and proactive risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications- OSHA 30 Certification
- OSHA 500 or 510 Certification
- 5+ years of construction safety experience
- Data center construction experience
- Structural steel safety oversight experience
- Experience reviewing lift plans and critical lifts
- Experience supporting large commercial or industrial construction projects
- CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
- Oversee daily safety activities for structural steel construction operations
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Monitor steel erection, bridging, and ironworker activities
- Support and enforce fall protection programs and elevated work procedures
- Monitor crane operations, rigging activities, and material handling processes
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), lift plans, and pre-task plans
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
- Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
- Promote a positive safety culture across the project
