Adjunct Faculty – Diesel Technology Instructor
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Diesel Technology (Bachelor's degree preferred) or related field with demonstrated knowledge and skills in diesel systems and repair, with a minimum of three years actual work experience in the diesel service/repair industry. Experience must include the competencies, skills and knowledge levels the instructor will be expected to teach. Must hold or be willing to obtain ASE certifications at the Master Diesel Technician level.
Must be able to develop and execute plans with minimal supervision. Preference given to candidates with prior training or teaching experience and with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Responsibilities:
The Diesel Technology adjunct reports to the Associate Vice President for Workforce Education with responsibility for the instruction of Diesel Technology, organizing and maintaining instructional equipment, recruiting students and industry partners for the program, and assessment of student learning. Teaching schedule may include day, evenings, or weekend hours.
