JANITOR (FULL TIME) – SSC Services For Education

Location:

West Memphis School District – 406 S. Woods, West Memphis, AR 72301. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

Full‑time, days may vary. Typically 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.

The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning, then return furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas with provided materials and equipment, sanitizing all surfaces and following the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinishes floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Willingness to receive training.
• Fixed pay rate: $15.00 per hour.
