Day Shift Production Lead

The Day Shift Production Lead provides direct leadership, guidance, and accountability to production employees during their assigned shifts. This frontline leadership role ensures a safe work environment, adherence to productivity and quality standards, and compliance with company policies on the production floor.

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of three (3) years manufacturing experience. Preferred prior experience in Lead, Team Lead, or Supervisory roles. Proven experience managing hourly employees and performance accountability. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of production processes, safety, quality, and manufacturing operations.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during 12-hour shifts. Work environment involves exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and wear required PPE consistently. Work schedule includes rotating 2-2-3 shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with possible overtime.

Lead daily production activities to meet operational goals while maintaining safety and quality. Assign work, monitor employee performance, and support efficient workflow and staffing. Hold employees accountable for attendance, productivity, quality, conduct, and policy adherence. Enforce safety policies, immediately correct unsafe acts, and promote safety awareness. Ensure quality management by verifying compliance with work instructions and taking corrective actions. Train and mentor new hires, support cross-training, and verify employee competency.

Maintain communication with Production Supervisors, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Planning. Complete production reports and provide thorough shift hand-offs.
