Trim Carpenter

This position seeks a skilled Trim Carpenter with strong experience in finish carpentry, drywall installation and finishing, and interior painting. You will deliver high-quality interior finishes, execute precise trim work, and support general interior construction tasks in both residential and commercial environments. The role requires a detail-oriented craftsperson who works efficiently, maintains a professional standard of workmanship, and consistently meets project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform finish and trim carpentry, including the installation of baseboards, casing, crown molding, doors, cabinets, and specialty millwork.
  • Hang, tape, and finish drywall to achieve smooth, paint-ready surfaces, including Level 4 or Level 5 finishes.
  • Complete interior painting tasks, including surface preparation, priming, and applying finish coats to produce clean, professional results.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and finish schedules to plan and execute work accurately.
  • Measure, cut, and install materials with precision, ensuring tight joints, clean lines, and consistent quality.
  • Repair or replace damaged trim, drywall, or finishes to restore interiors to a high standard.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and protect finished surfaces from damage throughout the project.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines and adapt to changing jobsite priorities.
  • Follow all safety policies and jobsite procedures, using tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in trim carpentry or finish carpentry.
  • Strong proficiency in finish carpentry, including installation of baseboards, casing, crown molding, doors, cabinets, and specialty millwork.
  • Proficiency in drywall hanging and finishing, including Level 4 or Level 5 finishing.
  • Strong painting skills, including brush, roll, and basic spray techniques for interior work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and finish schedules.
  • Ability to safely use carpentry tools, drywall tools, and painting equipment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent jobsite attendance.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on both residential and commercial interior projects.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a construction team.
  • Strong organizational habits, including maintaining clean and orderly work spaces.
  • Capability to troubleshoot and repair damaged trim, drywall, and finishes as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Memphis, AR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00/hr.
