Mechanical Maintenance Technician
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician supports Sediver's weekend manufacturing operations by performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. This role ensures equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with Sediver's safety and quality standards. The technician works independently during weekend shifts to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems critical to production.
Essential functions include:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, machinery, and support systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and service gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and other plant equipment.
- Conduct lubrication, adjustments, part replacements, and mechanical alignments as required.
- Respond to equipment failures during the weekend shift and maintain clear communication with supervisors.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with Sediver's safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed in the CMMS system.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on maintenance ability.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, bearings, and mechanical drive systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and technical documents.
- Ability to work independently during weekend operations with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and climbing.
Working conditions include:
- Industrial manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, heat, and moving equipment. Requires use of PPE in accordance with Sediver safety standards.
