East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and customer-focused Environmental Services Technician II (Transportation) to join our team. This position plays an essential role in ensuring patients have safe, reliable transportation to and from medical appointments while supporting the overall operations of our facilities.

The Environmental Services Technician II is responsible for transporting patients to hospitals, dialysis centers, rehabilitation facilities, medical offices, and other approved destinations while maintaining company vehicles in a safe, clean, and operable condition. This position also assists with housekeeping duties, transportation of clinic supplies, and facility support as needed. The ideal candidate is adaptable, professional, and committed to providing outstanding customer service while supporting East Arkansas Family Health Center's mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely transport patients to and from hospitals, dialysis centers, rehabilitation facilities, physician offices, and other approved destinations.
  • Coordinate daily transportation schedules using Route Genie and dispatcher assignments.
  • Contact patients to confirm scheduled transportation and provide pickup reminders.
  • Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle safely and courteously.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and submit required inspection documentation.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Keep assigned vehicles clean, sanitized, fueled, and in proper operating condition.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned vehicle keys.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws while operating company vehicles.
  • Assist with transporting clinic supplies between EAFHC locations.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as assigned, including cleaning exam rooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and replenishing supplies.
  • Assist with trash removal, facility cleanliness, and light maintenance projects.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Infection Control, Corporate Compliance, and all EAFHC policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager or Dispatcher.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 26 years of age
    .
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while adapting to changing transportation schedules.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude when working with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Previous patient transportation, medical transportation, housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
