Guest Experience Host – Kennywood
As a Guest Experience Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring a smooth, safe, and enjoyable visit to Kennywood. Your responsibilities include handling ticketing, parking, bag check, and guest inquiries.
Roles & Responsibilities- Parking: Welcome guests, direct them to parking spots, process parking sales with POS, assist guests with questions or complaints, maintain parking lot cleanliness, prevent unauthorized items at bag check, coordinate emergency services.
- Ticket & Pass Processing: Greet guests, provide information on ticket promotions, sell admissions and season passes, accurately operate POS, process credit, refunds, PCI and loss prevention, activate passes, validate online tickets.
- Admissions & Bag Check: Measure height, enforce restrictions, scan passes and wristbands, issue promotional materials, check bags for prohibited items, monitor exiting guests, handle calls and radio traffic, keep main‑gate area clean, replenish maps, ensure rental items are returned.
- Guest Relations: Address questions, complaints, and inquiries via email, phone, or in‑person; transfer department‑specific issues; provide accommodations; listen to radio, relay information; manage lost‑and‑found items.
- General Duties: Assist other departments as needed, perform any tasks assigned by leadership.
No formal education or previous work experience required.
Requirements- At least 14 years of age (PA child labor law compliance).
- Flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts.
- Must comply with uniform policies.
- Exceptional customer service skills; ability to resolve issues positively.
- Professional communication with guests.
- Ability to follow directions, multitask, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Stand, walk, and remain on feet for the majority of the workday.
- Occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders.
- Maintain sedentary periods on a computer or POS equipment.
- Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20lb or more.
- Base work in an office setting with frequent exposure to outdoor environments.
- Variable weather: heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice.
- Exposure to loud noise, flashing lights, and densely populated areas.
- Frequent interruptions and reassignment of tasks.
- Flexible schedule.
- Cross‑training across departments.
- Free admission to Kennywood and other parks on off‑days.
