Summary
Lindahl Reed is hiring a Certified Safety Professional to support the Department of Energy Environmental Management Consolidate Business Center (EMCBC)- Field Office in West Mifflin, PA
- Naval Reactors, Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory site. This is a summary of the job taken from position responsibilities and required skills.
- Review contractor Worker Safety & Health Program (WSHP) and implementing procedures, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and work packages
- Review of site and contractor ISM Programs
- Assist in the review and preparation of annual site ISM Declarations as requested
- Assist in the assessment of field site and Service Level Agreement (SLA) ISM Programs
- Assist in the review of field site and SLA Occupational Safety Programs
- Assist in the assessment of field site and SLA Occupational Safety Programs
- Review of site and contractor Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) Programs
- Assist in the review of annual site SCWE Program surveys and assessments
- Assist in the assessment of Small Site and SLA SCWE Programs.
- Support the field site in the performance of surveillances, health and safety assessments, compliance reviews and assessment/audit teams required by DOE Orders and other forms of infield oversight of the field site contractor operations and activities.
- Perform compliance reviews and assessment teams may include DOE Readiness Assessments (RA)
- Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR), Integrated Safety Management System Radiological Controls, Occupational Safety and Health, and Waste Management and Transportation Compliance reviews. Oversight activities may include document procedure
- Process reviews, interviews, and in-field work observations.
- The Contractor may be required to perform and document casual analyses resulting from oversight and assessment activities.
- The subject matter experts are required to prepare reports of the observations and findings from such reviews and provide follow up and tracking of corrective actions.
- Ensure all work is done in accordance with established DOE and the applicable field site procedures and be subject to DOE approval.
- Review DOE and contractor activities to assess DOE O 226.1B implementation and to recommend improvements. This includes but is not limited to:
- Evaluating activities (and their scope) being performed and planned; evaluating the risks (safety, mission impacts, security, etc.) associated with activities; and evaluating the level of existing federal oversight and its associated infrastructure (plans, procedures, and training and qualification of staff).
- Assist in preparing or revising field element policies and in implementing procedures that are consistent with DOE O 226.1B of comparably effective criteria established by the responsible program office.
- Provide oversight of following Safety, Health & Quality (SH&Q) Programs (including all implementing policies, procedures, and instructions) including, but not limited to Integrated Safety Management System,Worker Safety and Health, Conduct of Operations, Contractor Assurance, Continuity of Operations, Emergency Management, Fire Protection, Industrial Safety;
