Job Description
The Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Systems Development subdivision is looking for a motivated engineer to join our team in the Hardware Building Block Engineering unit, I&C Hardware Development unit, or Integration and Support Engineering unit. This role involves driving development, schedule, delivery, and troubleshooting for an extensive catalog of Hardware Building Block (HWBB) components used throughout the submarine and aircraft carrier fleets.
The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers, system integrators, equipment prime contractors, component vendors, and Naval Reactors personnel to prepare and maintain functional requirements, perform hands‑on laboratory testing, and incorporate HWBB technology into plant designs while troubleshooting emergent issues and interfacing with system owners and designers.
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering or computer engineering and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience;
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering or computer engineering and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
- Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
- GPA of at least 3.0/4.0
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with technical writing
- Experience with writing or testing functional requirements
- Reactor Plant I&C design or operating experience
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

$86,100.00 - $ annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
