The Radiation Health Organization has an exciting opportunity for a Health Physicist to join the team! The Health Physicist is an integral member of the Radiation Health team. The Health Physicist in this position has the role of managing the area monitoring dosimetry program and qualifying in advanced external dosimetry. Additionally, the candidate will have other exciting roles such as report writing, environmental dosimetry monitoring, and emergency response.

There are also other opportunities to expand learning and expertise in other areas of Health Physics. The successful candidate should have strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.

GPA for of 3.0 or higher

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities:

A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations.
