Position OverviewThe Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a key role in delivering an outstanding patient experience. This position supports front desk operations, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient flow in a busy medical office.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and check in patients; manage front desk operations
- Schedule appointments and coordinate complex calendars
- Verify insurance and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage patient flow and support providers and clinical staff
- Handle medical records and sensitive patient information
- Provide administrative support as needed
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required
- Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Reliable transportation required - Ability to travel between office locations
- Ability to obtain Certified Patient Service Specialist (CPSS) Certification within 6 months of hire date
