Security Officer, Kennywood

We are looking for a Security Officer who can perform well under pressure, maintain a safe environment, and engage guests in a positive and friendly manner.

• Oversee physical safety and security of the organization's facilities, property and people—including team members, vendors, contractors, shippers, and visitors.
• Manage and report on security incidents and threats.
• Oversee and report on security checks, surveillance, and monitoring.
• Authorize access to facilities and ensure that access is controlled.
• Maintain and review security records periodically, report on trends, anomalies, and concerns.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have Act 235 certification; the position is unarmed.
• Ability to address multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns.
• Strong communication skills; complete understanding of the English language.
• Must have flexible schedule availability, including holidays and weekends.

• Requires standing for long periods, ability to walk long distances within the park, and exposure to variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat.
• Must also be able to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 30 pounds; occasional bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulders.
