This is a remote opportunity that requires the employee to live within a 50-mile driving radius of the Coast Professional office located at 651 Downing Pines Rd West Monroe, LA 71292.
Pay is $16.50 per hour plus $4.57 health and welfare.
The General Clerk II provides knowledgeable written responses to Federal Student Loan (FSA) inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. In the event of high call volume, you may be required to assist with answering inbound calls regarding FSA Loan Servicing.
Job duties and responsibilities include working on semi-routine assignments, providing administrative support to project and operations management, performing repetitive clerical steps, inserting customer and account data, interpreting paperwork, compiling and verifying accuracy of information, reviewing data for deficiencies and errors, outreach to various sources, supporting high-call volume days, completing and passing DRG call center customer service training, making outbound borrower calls, applying data program techniques, generating reports, reviewing and examining source documents, interpreting forms, undergoing program update training, adhering to policies, writing using proper grammar and punctuation, typing a minimum of 23 WPM, working independently and in a team environment, navigating Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, identifying new scenarios, using resources and tools to communicate, and having NSLDS usage experience.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of customer service, administrative or call center experience, U.S. citizenship, ability to pass a criminal background check, not being delinquent or in default on any federal student loans, ability to work scheduled holidays, overtime, and Saturdays, ability to protect personally identifiable information, logical thought process, organized, taking accurate notes, welcoming constructive feedback, and using resources and tools to communicate.
Security clearance may be required for this position. Information and physical security is the responsibility of every employee, including safeguarding computer systems, following proper username and password management, securing desks and workstations, not sharing usernames or passwords, and following Information Technology policies and procedures.
Working conditions include talking or hearing, moderate noise level, specific vision abilities, using hands or fingers, standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and sitting at a desk working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
