The Commercial Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in West Monroe, LA. This position oversees day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project plans and specifications. Responsibilities include supervising site crews and subcontractors, coordinating daily activities, conducting site walks, and resolving field issues promptly. The superintendent will monitor quality, enforce safety standards, track progress, and communicate regularly with project managers, vendors, inspectors, and clients.

The role also involves reviewing drawings, planning sequences of work, assisting with schedule updates, and supporting cost control efforts through efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.

• Strong construction site management skills, including supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining organized, efficient job sites.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and a proven commitment to enforcing a safe work environment.
• Solid organization skills, with the ability to manage documentation, daily reports, schedules, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with budgeting and cost awareness to support effective resource allocation and minimize waste.
• Project management abilities, including reading plans and specifications, sequencing work, and tracking progress against milestones.
• Relevant experience as a superintendent or in a similar commercial construction leadership role.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with owners, design teams, inspectors, and field personnel.
• Proficiency with basic construction technology tools (e.g., email, project management or scheduling software, digital plan sets).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction-related fields is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site daily in West Monroe, LA, including in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
