Role DescriptionThe Superintendent/Project Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in West Monroe, LA, responsible for overseeing daily field operations and project execution. This role coordinates crews and subcontractors, manages scheduling, monitors progress, and ensures work is completed according to plans, specifications, and safety standards. The Superintendent/Project Manager will track budgets, review costs, support procurement of materials and equipment, and collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to maintain clear communication.
Daily tasks include conducting site meetings, enforcing construction safety protocols, performing quality control inspections, resolving on‑site issues, and preparing project reports and documentation. The role requires hands‑on leadership in the field, proactive problem‑solving, and consistent alignment of project activities with company standards and client expectations.
- Demonstrated Supervisory Skills, including crew leadership, team coordination, and performance oversight.
- Experience in Commercial Construction, with knowledge of construction methods, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in Quality Control practices, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Strong focus on Construction Safety, including adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Budgeting skills, including cost tracking, forecasting, and supporting project financial planning.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, trades, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schedules, and contracts; solid problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Prior experience as a superintendent, project manager, or similar role in construction or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office; valid driver’s license and ability to work on‑site daily.
- Relevant technical or vocational training, or a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
