Role OverviewThe Operator has overall responsibility for their respective machine and its numbers, including uptime/downtime, product scrap, output, and efficiency through good manufacturing practices and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, while maintaining all safety standards and expectations relating to their job and machine. This person must always act within food safety and GMP guidelines.

- Maximize equipment effectiveness and productivity and eliminate machine losses.
- Foster ownership with equipment and team members through respect, involvement and training.
- Promote continuous improvement through small-group activities involving production, maintenance, engineering, 5S, and internal/external resources.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine issues as needed.
- Mentor, coach and lead other personnel on the machine to run effectively.
- Train coworkers on proper operating techniques, knowledge and practices.
- Oversee new hire training for the respective machine.
- Practice good housekeeping including sweeping, dusting, and wiping tables.
- Participate in required trainings including safety and technical trainings.
- Inspect product at required frequency.
- Package all goods produced and ensure trimming and accuracy of goods produced.
- Ensure data accuracy of all transactions performed.
- Operate and be proficient on a Level 1 or Level 2 machine.

- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Trades achieved training is a plus.
- Manufacturing experience as a maintenance or production leader/operator is preferred.
- Must be able to read precision measuring tools and read and interpret basic mechanical and pneumatics schematics.
- Must have experience using Microsoft Office and accurate data entry.
- Must understand how to analyze data and influence effective decision making.
