CERTEX USA is seeking a detail‑oriented Wire Rope Assembler in West Monroe, LA to fabricate, inspect, and assemble rope products to meet quality standards and customer specifications.

Position Overview

Assembler/Fabricators identify different diameters, constructions, and applications for products used in industries such as construction, energy, mining, crane operation, aeronautics, deep‑sea recovery, and rescue. Products may be wire, chain, or synthetic.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Duties
  • Review, interpret drawings, blueprints, and capacity tables
  • Understand codes and specifications on order tickets
  • Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements, and determine equipment for all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies
  • Splice wire rope and fabricate chain slings
  • Operate industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts
  • Attach proper tags and labels to products
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Report defective or substandard material supplies or product
  • Handle shipping and receiving of goods
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all safety guidelines
  • Assist with deliveries when needed
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Familiarity with industrial tools such as cutting machines, swagers, crimping tools, and winches is preferred
  • Proficient in math and reading
  • Time‑management skills
  • Accurate reading of a tape measure or digital micrometer
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Persistent, energetic, and reliable

  • Pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check
  • Provide valid documentation proving citizenship for I‑9 compliance
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude
  • Report to work at the designated start time
  • Willingness to travel to various work sites or training as required
  • Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the Company’s "Stop Work" policy
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as directed
  • Willing to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers and supervisors with other duties as required
Education & Experience
  • Prior experience in construction, equipment, or oil industry is preferred
  • Proficient in math and reading
  • Time‑management skills
  • Accurate reading of a tape measure or digital micrometer
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Persistent, energetic, and reliable
Working Conditions, Hours & Travel
  • The job operates in a warehouse environment
  • Full‑time position with standard hours Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Minimal travel expected; may be required for training
Physical Requirements
  • Requires considerable physical effort and stamina to perform mechanical tasks
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. routinely during daily operations
  • Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) is required; precise hand‑eye coordination essential for cutting, splicing, and attaching fittings
  • Use of stomach and lower back muscles to support body for long periods without fatigue
  • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach, and lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects with fast, repeated movements of shoulders, fingers, hands, and wrists
  • Good control of fine motor skills for accuracy and safety of assemblies
  • Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and standing during shifts
  • Frequent bending or crouching to work on machinery or fit wire ropes into place
  • Exposure to extreme heat or cold in warehouse or outdoor construction or rigging environments
  • Must be able to hear warnings or communicate effectively over industrial sounds
  • May encounter grease or metallic dust
