Staffmark is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to produce and repair custom components for industrial equipment using traditional machining methods. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects where craftsmanship, accuracy, and problem-solving are highly valued.

• Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, saws, and other machine shop equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches, and work orders.
• Machine parts to specified dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
• Inspect completed work using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, cutting tools, and materials for machining operations.
• Repair, modify, and fabricate replacement parts for industrial equipment.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain equipment in safe working condition.
• Troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Follow all company quality, safety, and operational procedures.

High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.

Must have 3+ years of experience running manual machining equipment, including lathes and milling machines. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
