D&J Construction Company, a leading highway contractor in Louisiana, is seeking a detail-oriented Asphalt Aggregate Tester to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that asphalt paving operations meet required specifications and quality standards.

Position Overview:

The Asphalt Tester is responsible for sampling and testing aggregates used in Hot Mix Asphalt production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively.
• Monitor and test asphalt aggregates.
• Ensure all testing and documentation comply with industry regulations and project requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Experience not required - on the job training provided.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining independence on tasks.
• Must be reliable and dependable with strong time management skills.
• Must be willing to train and continue education with the intent to advance to Certified Asphalt Plant QC technician.

Additional Information & Requirements:

• Work hours vary based on seasonal workload, with primarily daytime 10-12 hour shifts.
• Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturday work required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Must have a valid email address for communication.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
