Under general supervision, maintains and services mechanical equipment, machinery, small engines and automobiles.
SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to dismount, mount and balance all tires used by the city.
• Ability to inspect, service and repair motorized power equipment.
• Ability to diagnose problems when equipment breaks down.
• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventative maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
• Assist other technicians.
• Identifies parts needed for replacement and places orders as necessary.
• Any other duties assigned.
WORKER REQUIREMENTS
(education, certifications, experience, etc.)
• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
• Valid Driver's License
• Able to perform moderate physical activity.
• Completes all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
HOURS/SCHEDULING
• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 am-4:00 pm
