Service Tech - ROS

Job Summary

A Service Tech I at United Rentals is responsible for performing maintenance tasks and minor repairs on rental equipment. Candidates should bring mechanical skills and a commitment to customer service.

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment, including checking oil, grease, fluids, electrical systems, AC systems, and plumbing.
• Tag equipment for rental ready status.
• Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Manage and organize inventory.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, vacuum trucks, AC systems, RV systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools applicable to the position.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
