Construction Superintendent

Position Summary

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of daily field operations from project start through completion. This individual will manage subcontractors, maintain project schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents, quality expectations, and project milestones.

• Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
• Drive project schedules by planning, sequencing, and monitoring daily construction activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, building codes, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
• Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation to proactively identify and address constructability concerns.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor coordination.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, safety documentation, and project records.
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Lead punch list, final inspections, and project turnover activities.

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience leading projects valued at $30 million or greater is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ground-up construction, major renovations, additions, and complex building systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors, manage project schedules, solve field challenges, and deliver projects safely and successfully.
